Blox Fruits Update 30: What the Sea 1 Rework Changed for Traders
The biggest patch in years landed on 5 September, and its effect on the trading market is only really showing up now that the Magnet Event has closed.
What actually shipped
Update 30 rebuilt the First Sea from scratch. All sixteen islands were redesigned, the NPCs and bosses reworked, and the HUD and world map replaced. Sea 1 bosses gained a secret awakened mode.
Forty new Island Secrets were added, each one raising the level and stat caps by five. The level cap now sits at 2800.
And the roster gained its first new Mythical in months: Magnet.
The Magnet fruit
Magnet is a Mythical Natural fruit built around a passive called Magnetic Power. It fills as you collect scrap in combat and moves through three stages, each strengthening your M1s, extending the combo and adding defence, finishing in a Maximum Overdrive robot transformation.
Mechanically it rewards staying in a fight. A player who disengages and resets loses the meter, so it suits aggressive play and underperforms in short skirmishes.
Why its value matters more from October
Magnet was handed out through the Magnet Event and its gacha, which closed on 30 September. From October the only route to one is trade.
That makes supply fixed while demand is still climbing, which is the classic setup for a volatile price. Expect wide disagreement between trading servers for the next few weeks — we have seen value lists differ by several hundred percent on brand new fruits before they settle.
If you are trading Magnet right now, treat any published number, ours included, as a rough guide rather than a fair-trade line. Run the deal through the value calculator and then use your own judgement on top.
What it means for everything else
New Mythicals usually pull value away from the tier below them as traders consolidate to reach the new fruit. Watch Yeti, Control and Gas for softness over the coming weeks.
The Sea 1 rework has a quieter effect. A rebuilt starting area brings returning and new players back, which raises demand for entry-level grinding fruits. Buddha and Light tend to firm up whenever the early game gets attention.
What comes next
Gamer Robot has not announced a date or number for the next update. October's likely beat is seasonal rather than structural — Halloween content has been an annual pattern, though nothing is confirmed.
Seasonal events matter for traders because limited items spike hard and then correct. Buying during an event is usually the worst timing; buying a few weeks after it closes is usually the best. Our guide on timing the market covers that pattern in detail.
