Permanent vs Physical Fruits in Blox Fruits: The Value Gap Explained

Two players can argue about a Kitsune trade for twenty minutes, both be completely honest, and both be right — because they are talking about two different items with the same name.

The distinction nobody explains properly

A physical fruit is an item. You find it under a tree, buy it from the dealer, or receive it in a trade. It sits in your inventory, you can eat it, drop it, or lose it. Eat a different fruit and the old one is gone.

A permanent fruit is bought with Robux and bound to your account forever. Eat something else, and you can switch back to your perm whenever you want. It cannot be lost, dropped, or taken.

That difference is why the two versions of the same fruit trade at wildly different prices. You are not buying the fruit — you are buying the guarantee.

How big is the gap actually?

It is not a fixed multiplier, which is what catches people out. The gap is proportionally largest on cheap fruits and smallest on expensive ones.

Top Mythicals like Dragon sit at roughly twice their physical value as a perm. Mid-tier fruits like Buddha or Portal can be sixty to eighty times. Low-tier fruits can exceed a hundred times, because the physical version is nearly worthless while the permanent still costs real Robux.

Check the live figures on the Blox Fruits value list — both columns are shown side by side for exactly this reason.

Why the gap shrinks at the top

It looks backwards at first. Surely the best fruit should have the biggest premium?

It works the other way because a physical Dragon is already expensive and already hard to get. The perm adds convenience, not access. A physical Rocket, meanwhile, is worth nothing at all, so the perm's entire value is the Robux somebody spent — the multiplier explodes because you are dividing by almost zero.

Understanding this stops you overpaying. If someone offers you a perm low-tier fruit at 'only 50x its physical value', that is not a discount. That is the normal rate.

When a perm is actually worth buying

Perms make sense in three situations. You have a fruit you genuinely main and will not switch away from. You want a grinding fruit like Buddha or Gas permanently available while running a different fruit day to day. Or you are buying it as a trading asset because perms hold value better than physicals.

They make no sense if you are still figuring out how you like to play. Buying a perm Portal before you know whether you enjoy PvP is an expensive way to find out you do not.

The mistake that starts most arguments

Somebody looks up a value, sees the permanent figure, and quotes it while holding the physical fruit. The other side checks the physical figure and calls them a scammer. Neither is lying.

Before any trade, say out loud which version each item is. Then put both sides into the Blox Fruits trade value calculator with the correct toggle set. It takes ten seconds and removes the entire category of argument.

Questions

Can you trade permanent fruits in Blox Fruits?

Yes. Permanent fruits are tradeable like any other item. Anyone telling you permanents cannot be stored or traded is lying to you, and it is one of the most common setups for a scam.

Is a permanent fruit worth the Robux?

Only if you are certain you want that fruit long term. As a pure trading asset perms hold value well, but as a gameplay purchase they are worth it only when you have settled on a main.

Why is my permanent fruit worth less than I paid in Robux?

Trade value follows demand, not Robux price. A perm nobody wants trades below what it cost, exactly like any other market.

Before any trade, total both sides in the Blox Fruits value calculator. It takes ten seconds and it is the difference between trading and guessing.
