Dragon is the most expensive item in the game. Kitsune is the most tradeable. Those are not the same thing and the distinction decides which you should own.
Dragon stores enormous value in one recognisable item. Kitsune stores slightly less value in something that moves whenever you want it to.
Liquidity
Kitsune wins comfortably. Its demand sits at maximum and almost every trader will engage with an offer containing it, which means you can exit the position at any time.
Dragon is harder to trade purely because so few players can match it. Finding someone able to make a Dragon-level offer takes time, and that is a real cost if you trade actively.
Combat performance
Kitsune again, for most players. It combines mobility with area coverage and performs well in both grinding and PvP without demanding enormous mastery investment.
